John Barnhart became a printers apprentice at the age of 12 at the Hungry Horse News in Columbia Falls, MT. He has been in the printing business ever since, amassing over 50 years of experience in the industry.

In operation since 1970, John and Karen Barnhart purchased Speedy Print in 1985 from the original owner. John was the first printer in Montana to forge ahead into the world of Linotronic, an output device that produced RC paper and negatives. Tracey Jones, John's daughter, came to work for Speedy in 1987.

In, 1995 John sold Speedy Print and both he and Tracey left. Tracey went to work at a couple large printers in Bozeman, as well as an advertising agency. She gained an enormous amount of information and training.

In January 1999, John took over Speedy Print again and Tracey came back to work in February 2000 to help manage, organize and do typesetting. Now the future of Speedy Print is secure with Tracey becoming the new owner sometime in 2006. Today Speedy Print has numerous dedicated employees and offers more than 100 years of combined printing experience.
